Light commercial and engineered systems

Commercial water treatment for Treasure Valley businesses

Scale in an espresso machine or a water heater that runs all day costs real money. We survey your site, test the water and size a system to how your business actually uses it.

Who we work with

Restaurants and coffee shops

Hard water builds scale inside espresso machines, ice makers, dishwashers and water heaters. Softening or scale control on those lines means less descaling and fewer spotted glasses.

Offices

Reverse osmosis at the break room sink or on a bottleless cooler line gives your team good drinking water without jug deliveries.

About drinking water

Salons

Soft, filtered water helps shampoo lather and rinse cleanly. It also keeps scale off bowls, sprayers and a water heater that works all day.

Small multi-unit buildings

One central system or one per unit, depending on the plumbing. We plan access so salt and service don’t mean knocking on every tenant’s door.

Ag and shop buildings

Shops, wash bays and outbuildings on a private well often deal with iron, sediment and hardness. We treat the water where it enters the building.

About well water

Engineered systems

Sized to your peak demand

A home-sized softener on a busy kitchen runs out of capacity fast. We size commercial systems to peak flow and daily gallons, so water stays treated through the rush.

Where downtime isn’t an option, we use twin-tank designs. One tank serves while the other regenerates, so treated water keeps flowing around the clock.

Pull out your equipment manuals too. Many espresso, ice and steam equipment makers list water quality requirements, and we design to meet them.

What we measure on a site survey

Water
Hardness, pH, TDS, nitrates, chlorine (lab test on wells)
Flow
Peak gallons per minute and daily use
Plumbing
Pipe size, pressure in psi, drain access
Equipment
Machines that need treated water

Commercial filters for iron, manganese and sulfur smell

Shops and businesses on a private well often deal with orange or black stains and a rotten-egg smell. Those come from iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide. A commercial oxidizing filter turns them into particles that the media bed catches. An automatic backwash then flushes them to the drain.

We choose the media from your water analysis. Sizing depends on how much iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide is in the water, your pH, your peak flow and the backwash rate the system needs. Models range from roughly 10 to 20 gallons per minute of peak flow.

On a well, the analysis comes from a certified lab test, which has a lab fee. Before we size a filter, the analysis needs to cover the items below.

  • Iron
  • Manganese
  • Hydrogen sulfide
  • pH
  • TDS (total dissolved solids)
  • Oil
  • Tannins

How a commercial project runs

  1. Site survey and water test

We test the water, measure flow and pressure, and note every machine and fixture that needs treated water.

  2. Written design and quote

You get a sized design, an equipment list and a written price, with install timing talked through up front.

  3. Install

Licensed journeyman plumbers do the work and schedule it to keep disruption to your business low.

  4. Ongoing care

Salt refills, filter changes, annual service and retesting keep the system doing its job.
